[Node.js][Mobile Service] How to add azure mobile service plugin into Cordova project RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello, I follow this tutorial Get started with Mobile Services(https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/articles/mobile-services-javascript-backend-phonegap-get-started/).

But I use cordova instead of phonegap.

    I tried the following command.

    >cordova plugin add azure-mobile-services-cordova
    OR
    >cordova plugin add com.microsoft.azure-mobile-services-cordova

I get following error in both commands.

Error: Failed to fetch plugin com.microsoft.azure-mobile-services via registry.
Probably this is either a connection problem, or plugin spec is incorrect.
Check your connection and plugin name/version/URL.
Error: Registry returned 404 for GET on https://registry.npmjs.org/com.microsoft
    .azure-mobile-services

Does anyone know how to solve this?

    I appreciate any helps.

  • Per the documentation here: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/articles/app-service-mobile-cordova-how-to-use-client-library/

    The correct command is:

    cordova plugin add cordova-plugin-ms-azure-mobile-apps

  • As you are using Azure Mobile Service as a backend for your clients devices, you can leverage the plugin azure-mobile-services-cordova at https://github.com/Azure/azure-mobile-services-cordova.

You can install the plugin via Cordova Cli from its Github repository url:

    cordova plugin add https://github.com/Azure/azure-mobile-services-cordova.git
