Runtime Error 2455 when changing a "IsVisible" logic flag, MA VBA 2013 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am a beginner with VBA. I have a very simple form that is checking "is dirty" on the form and executing the code below:

    Private Sub Form_Dirty(Cancel As Integer)
        Me.change_notify.BackColor = RGB(237, 28, 36)
        Me.change_notify.IsVisible = False
    End Sub

    I'm getting the Runtime Error 2455.  I have searched the forums for this error and unlike others, mine is way too simple.  I do not have a split data base, layered security, separate server or multiple nested functions returning the flag change.  I am on Windows 8 and MA 2013, and up to date with all MS updates.  I originally had the flag set to "True" and changed in on a whim to no avail.  The form control is a simple label box, as I am going through a beginner's manual trying to learn MSA and VBA.

    I am wondering if there's an issue with VBA within MS Office, as all the other forums I have looked at had seemingly unrelated conditions that produces this Runtime Error 2455 when attempting to change the "IsVisible" property.

    Any help is appreciated.  Thanks.
