SQL Server Power Pivot System Service missing RRS feed

  • Question

  • Dear All,

We have followed MSFT standards for configuring Power Pivot in our SharePoint environment, but somehow SQL Server Power Pivot System Service is missing from Manage Services on Server, It is available in CA server, whereas it is not showing up in WFE servers. We have tested Manual and Scheduled refresh, both are working as expected.

Can anyone please tell us why the service is missing and what needs to be done to show the service in Manage Services on Server?

    Thanks,

  • Hi Nisanth

Did you run the PowerPivot Configuration Tool?

    Try running on respected server:

    New-PowerPivotSystemServiceInstance -Provision:$true
