VS 2017 error creating store package

    General discussion

  • I've more apps created, developed and published with VS 2015 with many languages.

Porting one of these apps on VS 2017, and cleaning the app, it compiles well but when i create the store package VS gives this error:

Error file 'C:\Users\..\Documents\Visual Studio 2017\Projects\WindowsUWP\myapp\bin\ARM\Release\myapp_5.2.0.0_language-de.appx' not found.

This file really not exists, and NONE of language appx file exists.

    Other particulars:

    - If port an app and I don't clean the app, VS 2017 creates the package

    - If the app doesn't have globalisation languages VS creates the package

  • I have the same issue since the last VS 2017 Update and only an error for the ARM appx. But the other targets also doesn't have the language-xx.appx in it's bin directory.

  • I have the same issue. I can deploy it for my phone but creating store package fails.

Edit: Oh I just found this solution, haven't tried yet so far:
