CROSSFILTER DAX function? RRS feed

  • Question

  • The MSDN documentation contains a description of the DAX function CROSSFILTER at http://msdn.microsoft.com/fr-fr/library/dn308228.aspx

But it has an empty description and is just a template.

Can anyone shed any light on what this might be for?

    Cheers :D

    Thanks! Josh

  • What is more interesting is that it is not displayed in English page, and is not recognized as a valid function in SSAS 2012 and SSAS 2014!

  • Hi Josh,

As you can see on that link,
The document describes some information that is pre-release and subject to change in future releases. Pre-release information describes new features or changes to existing features in Microsoft SQL Server 2014 or later release version.

As Marco said, CROSSFILTER DAX function is not recognized as a valid function in SSAS 2012 and SSAS 2014. If you have any concern about this behavior, you can submit a feedback at http://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/Feedback and hope it is resolved in the next release of service pack or product. Your feedback enables Microsoft to make software and services the best that they can be, Microsoft might consider to add this feature in the following release after official confirmation.
