Compare Today's date vs DueDate in Tasks RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

In the Tasks list, I have a field formatted as "Date and Time": DueDate.  Now, a workflow sends an email if if DueDate is less than today.  It works but the problem is that the email is being sent at Midnight, and people on handheld devices are being notified late at night.

How can I ensure the email is sent 24 hours passed the DueDate?

    Thanks.

  • Actually, I was not using SP technology the right way.  When you create a Start Date or a Due Date, the default value for the Time portion is: "12:00 AM".  So, I just told my users to make sure they set the Time portion of the DueDate field.

  • Modify the workflow which sends out the email and instead of using the DueDate directly use Add hours to Date action of SPD and compare it
