Use Microsoft Office build-in resources for add-in localization RRS feed

  • Question

  • It is possible to use MS Offices build-in localization resources?

All the tutorials/guides I have found all explain how you create your own localization resources, but it seems like a lot of work for 3 strings that are very common (Change, Ok and Cancel).

  • Hi James_La,

Thank you for posting in the MSDN Forum.

It based on my knowledge that you cannot use Office build-in resources. One thing I'm sure is that you can localize your solution based on the Office Language.

Seen in this page How to: Localize Excel Solutions

    Hope it helps.

    Best regards,

  • Just a tip for others. If you need to look up the strings, terminology... used in Microsoft products then you can visit Microsoft Language Portal - http://www.microsoft.com/Language/en-US/Default.aspx
