Accessing the Draft database with OData RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I am currently working on an App for Office 2013 (Project Professional 2013) and would like to know if there is a way to access the draft database with OData.  I know that the Four different databases from Project 2010 are "merged" into one in 2013 but when I query OData in 2013 I can only access the published projects.

Is there a parameter to specify in the AJAX query so as to choose what table we want to query ?

    Thanks in advance,

I know this is a brand new technology but an answer would be very helpful.

    Thomas.

  • Hi Thomas!

As far as I know the REST Api for Project Server 2013, offers you a restricted PSI, i.e. not all the functions PSI already have. More specifically, OData just query the Reporting Database. There is no way to change this, OData has the schema of Reporting DB.

Hope in this link help you to understand: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/jj163048.aspx

I wish also that would be another kind to query Draft DB but...not for now!

    Regards!

  • Thank you for your answer but I meant accessing with OData the CSOM Model not the Reporting one.

    See this schema : http://i.msdn.microsoft.com/dynimg/IC592029.gif

I can query the published tables with OData but would like to query the Draft ones too, not the Reporting Database.

    Does that make sense?

    Regards.
