SQL High Severity Error


  • Hello,

    When I boot up my computer I see two screens each time with SQL logos. One says that there has been a "High severity error" and displays the following:

       at MySQL.Utility.Classes.CustomSettingsProvider.GetPropertyValues(SettingsContext context, SettingsPropertyCollection collection)
       at System.Configuration.SettingsBase.GetPropertiesFromProvider(SettingsProvider provider)
       at System.Configuration.SettingsBase.GetPropertyValueByName(String propertyName)
       at System.Configuration.SettingsBase.get_Item(String propertyName)
       at System.Configuration.ApplicationSettingsBase.GetPropertyValue(String propertyName)
       at System.Configuration.ApplicationSettingsBase.get_Item(String propertyName)
       at MySql.Notifier.Properties.Settings.get_AutoAddPattern()
       at MySql.Notifier.Program.UpdateSettingsFile()

    What does this mean? Do I need to update SQL?

  • I can see MySQL in that stack dump. This is a forum for Microsoft SQL Server, which is a completely different product.

  • Do you have SQL Server (not MySQL, as shown in the log above) installed on your computer?

    Doesn't look related to SQL Server. I see MySql in there. SQL Server and MySql are different databases.
