Exchange 2007 Outlook Web Access Connection Issue RRS feed

  • Question

  • I type in my url to get to the OWA page:

and get either a blank page with the page title "waiting for webmail.constoso.com"

    or I get this error:

"There is a problem in Remote Web Workplace. A logon error occurred. There is a problem communicating with the Outlook Web Access Server ... "

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

  • I also tried the "Fix My Network" feature in SBS Console.  It returned this:

  • Hi Jason,

    Troubleshooting:

    1. Check https://localhost/owa at the server and see if it works

    2. Check IIS settings for owa virtual directory

    3. The following cmdlet can also help to understand the issue

    Test-OwaConnectivity -Verbose

  • The current setup works on all computers except for 1 user's computer.

The Outlook Web Access issues do not occur on any computer except this 1 user.

Is there something on the client side I need to change for the 1 user?

    Thanks!

  • Need to check the things like, AV, Firewall, network connectivity, browser settings etc. as it is for a single machine

  • I have checked all of that and haven't narrowed it down to anything specific.

The user had the "Interpol Virus" on Monday.  I removed it on Monday using Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.  Then on Tuesday morning when the user tried using OWA for the first time since the virus was removed, the connection to OWA fails as stated in the first message in this post.

The user can navigate to other websites without any issues noted (i.e. Yahoo!, Google, ESPN, CNN, etc.).

Is there anything I should be specifically looking at to resolve this on the PC?

    Thanks!
