  • Question

  • Hi,

Last Run Duration for the executed test cases is always "0".. Is this a bug in TFS?

    Many thanks

  • Hi,

    What's the version of TFS?

Where did you check it? Please provide the screenshot of it.

  • Hi Starian,

    Sorry for the delayed response.

    Version: TFS 2017

    url: http://<tfsserverurl>/<teamproject>/<team>/_testManagement

    Reproducible Steps:

    1. Navigate to the Test Management

    2. Create Test plan and Test suite

    3. Once you run the Test cases, you will have the results

    4. Add Column options -"Last Run duration"

    5. You will notice "0" irrespective of the Test run

  • Hi,

Add new fields in the Column Options, this functionality shows up for OnPrem as part of TFS 2015 Update#2.

    Reference: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/vsts/release-notes/2016/may-06-team-services#test-plansuite-columns

I test it in TFS2017, I can repro your problems, but it’s works fine in TFS2015.

    I submitted a feedback here:  https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/content/problem/156652/test-plansuite-columns-last-run-duration.html

  • Thank you.

Is there any workaround in TFS 2017.1 or in future versions of TFS 2017?

    Many thanks

    Venkat

  • Hi,

You can check the duration in Test result page: Runs> Double click a test run>Test results.

BTW, the issue has been fixed in TFS2018.
