Is SignedInUser/Cid permanent? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello

    I want to get some unique and permanent key from Messenger Connect. When I call the service with wl_accessToken I saw seemingly that kind of key.

    <json2>
      <BaseUri>http://apis.live.net/V4.1/</BaseUri>
      <ContactsLink>http://contacts.apis.live.net/V4.1/</ContactsLink>
      <ProfilesLink>http://profiles.apis.live.net/V4.1/</ProfilesLink>
      <SignedInUser>
        <Cid>sdfdfsdxvfd3</Cid>
        <Uri>http://profiles.apis.live.net/V4.1/cid-sdfdfsdxvfd3/Profiles</Uri>
      </SignedInUser>
      <StatusMessageLink>http://psm.apis.live.net/V4.1/</StatusMessageLink>
    </json2>

    Can I believe the <Cid> value as user identity permanent and unique?

Answers

  • The CID is the unique identifier you should be using.  It is permanent and tied to a user's Live ID.
