Crystal reports with vs 2010 and passing parameter RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • hi  i am currently using visual studio 2010 i want to create a report in my application!
    my application is about member entry system. every thing is working fine in the Application.

    i use to pass parameter in vs 2005 in following way:

    ParameterFields paramFields = new ParameterFields

     ParameterField headField = new ParameterField();
                ParameterDiscreteValue headvalue = new ParameterDiscreteValue();
                headField.ParameterFieldName = "status_detail";
                headvalue.Value = cmbstatus.Text;

     crMemberInfo2 cmi = new crMemberInfo2();
                frmReportPreview rpt = new frmReportPreview();
               rpt.CrvReports.ParameterFieldInfo = paramFields;
               rpt.CrvReports.ReportSource = cmi;

    it use to work fine in vs 2005 but in vs 2010 crystal report ask to enter the parameter again and when i enter the string value the error msg is displayed "Prompting missing information".

    i also tried to solve it by creating a crystal report viewer in same form and it worked now i need to assign the parameter in crystal report viewer in separate form.

    How can it be done can any one me out.. i ll be very thankfull..
