Closed Connection error RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are facing very frequently the Closed Connection error (every 2 hours) for one of the service which loads the 67000 KB file data in to memory and does some matching operation. the service goes down with the following error when the memory usage reach around  1.9 GB . we are not sure about the failure , suspecting memory issue but the error seems to be different. Please can some one give us a hint.

  • Use the IIS administration tool to take a look at the Pool Recycling settings. You may have the pool configured to recycle the application when memory usage reaches a certain size (such as 2 GB). If this is the case, then when the limit is reached and the application is recycled, any clients that were connected at that time will experience the "closed connection" error.
