Entrust SSL certificate used for encryting connection RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi everyone,

I need some help for eccrypting sql server connection.

I managed to use sql server self-signed certificate to encrypt the connection. But I prefer to use third-party (Entrust in my case) certificate. And I found how to apply SSL certificate by generating certificate signing requests (CSR) via web server tool on Entrust web site(http://www.entrust.net/ssl-technical/webserver.cfm).  SQL server is not listed there.
Does anyone happen to know if it is possible to use Entrust SSL certificate to encryption SQL server connection and how to setup it?

    Thanks,
    jianzh
