    First of all ,Important  point to understand about Email is that

    SMTP:is responsible for sending mails

    POP3(Post ofice Protocol is for recieving mail)

    So you need a pop3 client which could help you receive email like Outlook does,.

    after configuring pop3 you can use function like recieve Mail,DeleteMail..

    You can download some opensource POP3 Client(.NET 2.0) to help you implement your own pop3 client project. Here is an example

    POP3 Config with code

    You cannot receive actual "email" on your site with ASP, but what you can do is create a form for users to write you.

    Then you save the contents of the form in a database. And of course you can then show the contents of the typed form mail when you log on.

    Does this help?

    MailMessage mail = new MailMessage();
    mail.From = "test@..";
    mail.To = "test@..";
    mail.Cc = "test@..";
    mail.Subject = "Test mail";
    mail.Body = "Test";
    //to support html tag
    mail.BodyFormat = MailFormat.Html;
    SmtpMail.SmtpServer = "SMTP Mail Server";
