unable to access port 80 into container on azure RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm not sure if this is just my setup but I'm unable to access webserver on port 80 from the host vm

    I added the rules as per tutorial: https://msdn.microsoft.com/virtualization/windowscontainers/quick_start/manage_powershell

    Add-NetNatStaticMapping -NatName "ContainerNat" -Protocol TCP -ExternalIPAddress 0.0.0.0 -InternalIPAddress 172.16.0.2 -InternalPort 80 -ExternalPort 80

    When the port mapping has been created you will also need to configure an inbound firewall rule for the configured port. To do so for port 80 run the following command. This script can be copied into the VM.

    if (!(Get-NetFirewallRule | where {$_.Name -eq "TCP80"})) {
        New-NetFirewallRule -Name "TCP80" -DisplayName "HTTP on TCP/80" -Protocol tcp -LocalPort 80 -Action Allow -Enabled True
    }

    the same seems to work fine on Hyper-V
