Deleting empty subfolders in Outlook 2013 using Powershell RRS feed

  • Question

  • I was a developer in my past life, but am relatively new to Powershell.

I receive a lot of email and have rules to move the email into subfolders based on various classifications. Periodically I use Search to find all email older than 2 years and delete the old email. This works, but leaves behind empty subfolders.  There are up to 4 levels of subfolders.

What I have been looking for is a Powershell script that will search for empty subfolders and remove them.  I have a couple of scripts on the Internet, but they will not work in my environment for some reason.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    Michael
