Mountanous Splash Screen

    Question

  • I have had an issue with the splash screen (the one with the snow capped mountains).

Sometimes I have to double click it 4 or 5 times to get it to dismiss.

Slide it up with your mouse rather than double-clicking.

  • Thanks for the reply, Paul, but from a user perspective that is silly. The screen does not fit the model as something which can be dragged out of the way. As a developer for the last 25 years in microsoft products starting with DOS applications one thing has remained the same.  Users complain about extra, seemingly meaningless mouse clicks.

From my perspective that splash screen serves no useful purpose and should be destroyed.

You don't need to use the mouse to remove the splash screen - pressing a key on the keyboard will work, and is faster.
