  • Consider i have two entities SalesMain and SalesSub.

    Sales Main contain SALES_ID, SALES_DATE, SALES_PERSON

    SalesSub contain ItemID,Qty

1 sales main has multiple sales sub record.

    Consider Following example

    SALES MAIN

    SALES_ID: 101

    SALES_DATE: 2011.07.14

    SALES_PERSON:Hasibul

    SALES SUB

    ITEMID         Qty

    ---------------------

    IT01             5

    IT02             3

    IT04             1

I can save above using EF. My problem is Update Operation on details Record.

If i do following operation on details record then how i can update my entity set

    Add new SALES SUB Record,

    Update Existing SALES SUB Record

Delete Existing one and then Fill to SalesMain.SalesSubs,  now  I want to Update Sales Information with SaleSub records where SalesMain.SaleSubs contain list of sales sub record.

  • Mhhh…. Perhaps, you should know the following information. If we add a new table in the designer, only the conceptual model (CSDL) will be modified.  The validation error indicates that there are no corresponding element in SSDL and MSL to map the new table in CSDL.   Model First can help us to re-generate the SSDL and MSL based on the CSDL.

    Thanks,
