How I check if the file has been replaced in windows 8 store app RRS feed

    Hi,

    i am  creating and storing a file in Local folder to maintain the state information of the windows 8 store app.

    When someone copy the previous session file and replace with the new file. application try to restore to the previous session data as the filename is same. which is not good.  

    Is there a way where i can identify that the file has been replaced/modified?

    You can include version information or hash and compare the contents.

    Consider if this is a scenario worth worrying about. "Not good" has many scenario specific levels. Normal users aren't aware of data in the local folder and won't mess with it. Power users who do mess with it likely know what they are doing.
