WCF or classical TCP/UDP client/server architecture RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I have to run on a Windows server an application taking control of another application with COM objects (everything on the same computer).
And I have to be able to send commands / files and retrieve information from a client.
There will be just one client per server.

I do not know very well the tech .NET

I hesitate between WCF or a conventional TCP / UDP client / server architecture.

Someone could advise me on one or the other?

    Thank you !!
