A severe occured while accessing asp.net page RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have declared,

     SqlConnection sqlConn = new SqlConnection(user id=xxx, etc....);

    ds = SqlHelper.ExecuteDateSet(sqlConn,commandType.StoredProcedure,"sp_name",sqlParams);

    sqlParams I have declared as SqlParameter[] with 11 parameters that are passed.

    In asp.net page, I am getting the error saying, A severe error occured on the current command. The results, if any, should be discarded.

    Please let me know how to correct this. Thanks.

  • You might be able to get more details by running the stored procedure with the same parameters within the SQL Server Management Studio GUI.

    My guess is that the stored procedure executed a RAISERROR command with a high severity based on logic within the stored procedure.  Therefore I would also recommend examing the stored procedure definition.
