Two copies of windows developer at start up RRS feed

  • Question

  • When I first tried installing using a flash drive it didn't install all the way so did it by disc. I did a clean install and formatted the partition that I had tried installing on before but somehow my computer is picking up two of them and asking me to choose when starting up my laptop. Not sure as to why its picking up two of them and don't know how I can figure out as to where the second one is at. Has anyone else had this issue and if so what did you do to get rid of the duplicate copy?

  • To manually remove an entry from the Windows boot menu:

Type MSCONFIG in Windows 8's Metro start menu and then click on MSCONFIG.  When the System Configuration window opens, click on Boot tab, click once on the entry you want to remove, then click on the Delete button and then the Apply button.
