Creating Proxies in VS 2012 for c# RRS feed

  • Question

  • Good evening. I also am having trouble getting visual studio to generate the proxy classes for my webservices. I am adding the the first service Reference below via a URL. I have several others which I directly add to my reference.svcmap as below by editting the file. After that, I use "Update Service Reference". Unfortunatly, the proxies are only being generated for the Authentication.svc.

Any ideas, or must I use svcutil like in the old days when I used to do socket programming with UDP and had to generate the xdr headers manually? That has been a while and I thought the tools had improved!!

    Many thanks, Movalgirl

To check whether there is some wrong while modifying svcmap, I suggest you add other service from VS to generate the proxy classes, will you generate the different proxy for the other services. I am sure it will, and then I suggest you check the difference between old svcmap and new svcmap to see which cause your way only generate for authentication.svc.
