Multiple frameworks

Hi guys,

On windows, I have .net framework 4.8 and I have VS Enterprise 2017 installed. I wonder if I can use .net 5 and .net core 3.1 as well?

Hi,

See for example https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet/5.0 for requirements. VS2017 was supported forst firts versions but for latest ASP.NET Core versions, you need Visual Studio 2019  (or VS Code).

VS Code is free for everyone and can be an option if you can't upgrade to VS 2019 (can be installed side by side with VS 2017) and dont' qualify for VS 2019 Community which is free if you match condtions found at https://visualstudio.microsoft.com/license-terms/mlt031819/ :
