Getting MIME type error in Bing map static imagery api RRS feed

  • Hi Amey,

This is not an issue with the API but rather how you are using the result. The error is technically correct. An image/jpeg is not executable by the script parser.

If you are placing these images into documents, you should adhere to our Terms of use and the print rights as stated here https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/maps/product/terms & https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/maps/product/print-rights

    Sincerely,

  • Hi IoTGirl,

Its correct that this is not an API issue.

Can you tell me how to process the image/jpeg content type inside my subscribe success callback using jsonp? may be some sample example or inside the same stackblitz example that I shared?

moreover , as I am sending the callback method to jsonp request , should I define it somewhere? how does angular processes the jsonp callbacks?

Thanks for sharing the terms of use links. this would be helpful.

  • Hi Amey,

I am afraid I am a Maps person and not a JSONP or Angular user.  When I need to see how to work HTML, I use the w3schools site.  For example they have a page on JSONP that might help https://www.w3schools.com/js/js_json_jsonp.asp

There are other help sites such as Stack Overflow and Reddit that might have some more pointers but in this case, you are getting an image back and sending it to be run so that is why you are getting the failure.  You just want to show the image not pass it to be executed.

    Sincerely,

    IoTGirl
