  • Hi JoshuaSwick,

Thank you for posting in MSDN forum.

On my VS 2015, my C# Text Editor works fine, please see my screenshot:

From your description, do you mean that the C# template is not shown under it?

If so, this error indicates your Visual Studio installation (particularly the C# language service) is corrupted. Most likely this is caused by some setup issue, which we are currently working to identify.

Please repair your VS via Control Panel first.

Or you may try the "devenv /installvstemplates" to restore missing templates, please refer to:

    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms247116%28v=vs.100%29.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396

Since your VS is 2015 version, have you installed the update 3?

How about applying Update 3 to your VS.

If the error persists,  then you may try to running devenv.exe /log <log path> in Command Prompt, the log files will be generated in the <log path>.
Then you can check and analyze the log file to see if there are anything incorrect.

Or upload the file to https://onedrive.live.com/   and share the link with us, we will help you analysis this.

    Best Regards,
