  • Hi,

Visual Studio 2008 stores the Projects in the following location :-

    ..\My Documents\Visual Studio 2008\Projects

The compiled code (DLLs and/or EXEs) are stored in the \bin\Debug or \bin\Release folders for a particular project.

    Hope this helps.

  • Hi isabel_amo,

One way to determine which files and dependant libraries are required for your device is to clean reset a physical device or emulator.

If you then deploy your application via Visual Studio you should see the output window list which CAB files (.NET CF runtime, SQL Server Compact edition etc) are being installed to get your application working on that particular type of device (different CABs may be required for smartphone or pocket pc, or even different versions of the OS etc).

    Hope this helps,

  • Hi,

    Dependencies are

    1) your application CAB ( which includes your application exe file)

    2)  Compact framework

    3)  Microsoft SQL CE

    4) Microsoft SQL Mobile 2005

    5) other frameworks  (If you are using any third party frameworks )

these are for CF 2.0 (example) :

    1) Application CAB
    2) sqlce30.dev.ENU.ppc.wce5.armv4i

    3) sqlce30.ppc.wce5.armv4i
    4) NETCFv2.wm.armv4i

Check this link to prepare a single cab file with all multple CABs:
