  • Does anyone have any experience attempting to filter out ambient IR from the IR pattern generated by the Kinect?

  • I have it in a very bright room at the office and point it down so light does not affect it from the bulb in the ceiling.

For outside with a robotic usage remote controlled, use kinect under a tree. Other scenario usage on a robot out in sun:

    1. do not have the robot go straight towards the sun (not even a human could look directly at the sun, and see anything, if they stare too long.) ,but instead if sun is pointed straight down at angle, go left or right of it, allowing more control.

Which scenario are you looking to plan for?
