How to tell HCK a network device is a Fiber device? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm testing a 100FX fiber NIC and I'm getting several failures due to (I beleive) the test kit believing it is a copper device (test logs show Fiber NIC=False).

One is with Standardized Keywords. It wants default link speed to be 0 (Auto Negotiation) which is not supported by 100FX fiber so we don't have it in our inf.

The second is with E2Perf. Fails because the current link speed does not equal maximum link speed. In our case it does since maximum link speed is 100 Full Duplex with this device.

Would setting it as a fiber NIC correct these issues? Where in the HCK do I set this as a Fiber NIC?
