Query regarding account accesses required to use Office-365-SDK-for-Java RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

I have imported and run 'https://github.com/OfficeDev/Office-365-SDK-for-Java' project. I have created an App in "https://apps-dev.dev.microsoft.com" and using the App id/Client id from the same. I am getting- AuthenticationException {"error":"unauthorized_client", "error_description": "<some_id>:Application with identifier <clientID> was not found in the directory <company_name>.com"}.

I have used my company office365 account for registration and acquired clientID. Some forums suggested that I need to link Office365 with Azure account. However for registration we need paid subscription. How can I use free trial subscription and which all APIs can I use with it. Or am I missing out on any step for accessing the APIs?

    Thanks and Regards,

  • Hi swapnali,

Thanks for posting in MSDN forum.

We don't need to link Office 365 to Azure account. The Office 365 account is no problem for us to consume the Office 365 REST API.

Please register the app using porta below and sign in with the Office 365 account.

The associate Azure account enable us to manage the app via the Azure portal.
