I get different mining models depending upon whether I use BIDS or excel 2007 data mining plugin RRS feed

    I use Dataset A in BIDS(2005) to create a decision trees mining structure and then a mining model.    I then take Dataset A, put it in Excel, and use the data mining addin to create a decision trees model.   When I compare the results the two models are very different, yet I used the same data and same predict column.   I dont tinker with the model settings so I would like to kno if there are there any ideas what could cause a big difference in the models?

    It is possible that results are different because some column was used as discrete in one place and continuous in another.

    You can also try running Document Model wizard on 2 models (one from BIDS and one from Excel). Do you see differences?
