"Speedometers" for action queries? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

I am working with a set of action queries. Seven of them running one after the other.

I try to improve performance and wonder if there is a tool to monitor the time each query takes?

    Like:

    Query1   12 sec
    Query2     8 sec
    Query3     4 sec
    etc
    etc
    etc

    Hi Peter,

Just before the start of the query you can set t_begin = Now(), and at the end you set again t_end = Now(). The difference  t_end - t_begin is the time the query needed to run.

You can e.g. wrap this in a little function, that stores the results is a table.
