Release mode in publish setting is missing visual studio 2012 RRS feed

    I am trying to publish website in visual studio 2012, but Release option is missing in "Configuration" drop down under settings tab. I am using "File System" publish method in connection tab.

    In web.config compilation debug is set to false.

    Welcome to asp.net forum.

    From your description above, here are some suggestions for you.

    • Cleaning and rebuilding your current Project (Right-click > Clean, Right-click Rebuild respective) and see if that makes any difference at all. 
    • If these issues are still persisting after the above steps, try restarting Visual Studio (and even your local machine)
    • You can also consider repairing your VS, and check it makes any difference.
