MDS 2008R2 Cluster Aware - HA RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Folks,

Can anyone tell me (with link from the msdn if possible) if MDS 2008R2 is cluster aware or what is the work around for HA if its not cluster aware?

    Thanks

    Cheers

  • There is no problem to install SQL cluster and then connect MDS to existing cluster.

If you see any problem with this you should contact Microsoft support.

    Thanks,

  • MDS Not Supported in a Cluster

Master Data Services is not supported as part of a SQL Server clustered instance installation. If you are installing a clustered instance of SQL Server 2012, you must not select the Master Data Services checkbox. If the MDS feature is checked during clustered instance installation, MDS will be installed on a single node, but it will not be available and will not work on additional nodes that you add to the cluster.

Does anyone know the HA work around?

    Cheers
