  • Question

  • Hi,

How to allow only specific SQL user to connect to our production server from a specific IP only.

    For example:

1st server with ip 1.2.3.4 in this server there are 2 sql users(AA,BB)

2nd server with ip 5.6.7.8 I need that only sql user name BB can connect to the 1st server(1.2.3.4)

Pls help me on acheiving this..

  • You can do it via:

    1. Configuring Windows firewall rule to allow/disallow specific ip address or ip address range. Refer, Add or Edit Firewall Rule for details.
    2. Creating logon trigger. For details, Logon Triggers.
