PWA Tasks Tracking View Slippage RRS feed

  • Question

  • At Project Professional, We can choose which baseline to view at Tracking Gantt and show the slippage.

At pwa, we can enable slippage at Gantt Chart View.

But can we choose which baseline to compare for the slippage?

  • Hi,

there are several ways, even more if you use templates.

    • Run a macro (e.g. as OnSave) to copy BaselineX Start to StartX, and BaselineX Finish to FinishX
    • Create formulas on any existing file and on any template with formulas for StartX ([BaselineX Start]) and FinishX ([BaselineX Finisht])
    • Run a macro on any any existing file and on any template to create the formulas for StartX and FinishX

    Does that help?

  • Hi Billy,

You have to use the following:

    • Copy BaselineX as interim plan to StartX/FinishX in Project Professional or use a formula to set StartX = Baseline Start X and FinishX = Baseline FinishX and publish (Baseline fields are not available for Gantt bar definition, SatrX and FinishX are.)
    • In PWA - Server Settings - Look and feel - Gantt Chart Formats
    • Pick a none used Gantt Chart like Gantt X
    • Scroll down to Custom Duration X, activate it and define bar format.
    • Save
    • Create a new Project view in  Server Settings - Look and feel - Look and feel - Manage Views
    • Add StartX and FinishX to displayed fields (requiered to get bar displayed)
    • Select your new defined Gantt Chart as Gantt Chart format
    • Add categories as needed
    • Save

    Does that help?

  • Thanks Barbara,

As in our company, we assigned Baseline 10 as common baseline for planning. All user will maintain their common plan at baseline 10.

If there a way to copy baseline to interim in a automatic way?
