Owner of database RRS feed

  • If the administrator on a domain is the owner of a db and i change the password for the administrator account, should this cause any problems in accessing the database or running existing SQL jobs?

  • No, Don't worry it will not cause any problems. As SQL Server do not store your windows domain account password , it is stored in AD.

    But if SQL Server services are running through that Domain account, than you have to make the password changes in Configuration Manager for those SQL Server services and that will recycle the SQL services.
