Meeting Item custom UserProperties are not storing in outlook 2010 permanantly for an meeting item RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    I am creating custom userproperty named "Migrate" for a meeting using c# code dynamically. If i am changing userproperty value  then it is not storing in meeting item. Can any one help me how to store values to actual meeting item?

    Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook.UserProperty mailUserProperty = null;

    mailUserProperty = item.UserProperties.Find("Migrate");
    if (mailUserProperty != null)
    {
     mailUserProperty.Value = true;
      item.Save();
    }

  • Your code looks fine to me.  However, there could be other elements of your code or solution that I don't see or understand that could be causing a problem.  Can you explain in more detail and show more code?  How are you retrieving the Appointment?  If you try changing the Subject property does the value stick when you save?

  • By "meeting item", do you mean the MeetingItem object that Outlook sends our or receives ? In that case, where do you check for the user properties? In the parent AppointmentItem object?
