    HI All

We are facing an issue in InfoPath 2007 during submit data connection.

    Problem is  ,

We have published an InfoPath 2007 form template in a server,

Trying to open that template from the client, it is opening successfully.

But when I am trying to submit that form, it is throwing Some Rules were not applied error,

When I click on Show details, it is showing the below error (in bold).

The user has contribute permission to this Form library and this form is not checked out to anyone

Also content type of this form is not Read only.

Please direct us if anything do we need to change or configure in our form.

    “InfoPath cannot submit the form

An error occurred while the form was being submitted.

The form cannot be submitted to the following location: http://abc.com

The form is marked as read-only.

    Thanks & Regards, Sudheer

    Hi,

    The issue is resolved,

The problem is because of the custom code used in this InfoPath application.

I am setting Item Level permission for this InfoPath document.

When the form is submitted, Event receiver will be called where I am setting the permission for this document to another person.

Before setting the permission, removed the current user permission for that document and assigned permission to another user.

This is where the problem happening , it is setting to Read access to that document by default , due to that when I open that document it is opening in the Read only mode ,

So not able to submit back that document.

Now I changed the custom code, the problem is resolved now.

Thanks for your suggestions which also helped me to solve the issue.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Sudheer

  • Is it possible that someone has the form open other than the person trying to submit it?  If this is a filler form (not browser enabled) when a user has the form open it creates a 'soft' checkout which makes the form read only for any other user that opens it.

  • Try re-publishing the form from the Designer to the form library.

    or Try this solution:

    1. Open My computer
      2. Navigate to: C:\windows\System32 (or c:\WINNT\System32)
      3. Click the Tools menu at the top and select Folder options
      4. Click the View tab
      5. Under the Hidden files and folders section select Show hidden files and folders
      6. Click ok
      7. Scroll way down and locate the file called "webfldrs.msi" (or just "webfldrs" if you don’t see file extensions)
      8. Double click webfldrs.msi to run the web folders installer
      9. Click the Select reinstall mode button
     10. Leave the first item checked and then put a check in the last 4 options so the following items have checks next to them:
            1. Repair all detected reinstall options
            2. Force all files to be reinstalled, regardless of checksum or version
            3. Verify that required user registry entries are present
            4. Verify that required local machine registry entries are present
            5. Validate shortcuts
     11. Click ok
     12. Click the "Reinstall" button – this will reinstall your web folders using the selections we made above
