403 - Forbidden: Access is denied

  • I deployed a Silverlight app to Azure using Window Azure Project in VS2010.  Azure management portal reports everything created and ready.  I've read all the listed  403 error solutions on the need to use a default document and limitations on browsing the directory.  My web config is different than the examples and the recommended changes don't work.  Here's my web config file;

    <?xml version="1.0"?>

  • Do you have default.aspx file? What happens when you try to access the ?

    Silverlight App? How did you create the silverlight app? Is your web role the Web host for your Silverlight App? If this is the case most probably you do not have defatult.aspx, but instead YourSilverlightAppNameTestPage.aspx, try opening (replace [YourSilverlightApp] with your actual test page for the silverlight app.

    Please get back if you solved this, or still have issues after these hints.

  • I was able to connect with your recommendation.

    I did not delete a default.aspx page and i'm not sure why a simple SL page does not provide one.  I'll review when I have access to VS and will supplement this post.  Thank you.
