ActiveX License missing

  • I am working on a project to build a small cube using Analysis Services and while building the data source view, I invariably run into the following error (using visual studio 2010):

    TITLE: Microsoft Visual Studio

An error prevented the view from loading.

You must have a license to use this ActiveX control. (System.Windows.Forms)

    How do I fix that?

    Thank you!

  • Hi Stephane,

    Welcome to MSDN forum.

Please try to set the project to build for x86 to see if could solve your issue.

Generally, the ActiveX controls comes with a license for a specific duration of time. If you purchased the ActiveX control from somewhere, you'd better contact the vendor to get a license.

    Best regards,
