Component Screen - Visual states across multiple windows RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi everyone,

I'm working on a University project in which we have to prototype some software.

The interface uses a common Component Screen across many windows, yet when I run a piece of code to update the controls on this Component screen at runtime, they revert back to their ordinary properties when another window is loaded.

I have tried using a Public Static variable to update the screens across multiple windows, but this has had no effect.

Can anyone tell me a way to achieve this behavior?

    Thanks

    Jake

  • You will need to implement themes. Load resources xaml dynamically at runtime.

  • What types of properties are you changing that you want to be present in all instances of the control? The root cause of your problem is that each type you use the common control, it is a separate instance of that class, not the same instance re-used.
