Taxonomy Refinement Panel Missing

Question

I am trying to add the Taxonomy Refinement Panel web part to my page by following the directions below,  but it is missing when I look here.  Where can I find it?

1. Click the Settings menu, and then click Edit Page.
2. In the Web Part Zone where you want to add the Web Part, click Add a Web Part.
3. In the Categories list, click Search.
4. In the Parts list, click Taxonomy Refinement Panel, and then click Add

I think you need to activate the publishing features to add the WebPart. I can see the WebPart only in Publishing sites and not in team sites. Hope it helps.

You can try what Rajesh.Sitaraman said.

Per my search, it seems the web part is also not available in Standard edition.

In addition, you can go to site settings->web parts to look for a file named "TaxonomyRefinementScript.webpart".

Please check if you have enough permission to access the file or if the file is checked in and published.

At the site collection level under Site Settings > Site Collection Administration > Site collection features

The SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure feature is turned on.

Also the page that I'm trying to insert the Taxonomy Refinement Panel on is within a publishing site.

I did notice that the TaxonomyRefinementScript webpart is not in the web part gallery.  What causes it to be in the gallery when a server is setup?  I do see it in another SharePoint site I have on another server.  Can I just copy the webpart the the server that is missing it?

You can add that web part to the web part gallery or directly import it to the page.
