Windows metro style apps dont work on acer aspire one 521 netbook

hi everyone,
i recently installed windows developer preview with succes but i think i got a bug, beacouse i cant run apps in the metro ui or internet explorer 10 touch edition.
i just click on the gui icon and nothing happens, i live in the netherlands but i dont think thats the problem. so maybey someone has a solution, I would greatly appreciate! greetings, Julian (ime sorry for my bad english, ime dutch ;)
Edit:is there going to be support for 1024x600?

This has been mentioned a few times concerning netbooks. What is your screen resolution? The minimum required resolution for the modern apps is 1024x768. Some netbooks only display at 1024x600.

- Make sure your machine is running the latest Windows 7 display drivers
- Connect the netbook to a monitor -- preferably 1080p or above
- Go into Desktop and select the native resolution in control panel. (right click: screen resolution)

You might also try this reghack to enable larger (compressed) resolutions if you're netbook is using intel GMA graphics card: http://forum.eeeuser.com/viewtopic.php?id=80812 . Worked fine on my eee1000HWednesday, September 14, 2011 9:28 PM
