AOP - Injection Code RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

We have an application that needs to log all the methods executed, but writing the same code on all the methods wouldnt be nice, so we thought about using AOP on it. I tried to find some articles on web about frameworks, comparing them etc, but i hadnt much success, cuz the articles was too old or too simple.

Does anyone here uses a framework for AOP? Which one is the best one? Aspect.NET, Aspect.C#, Spring.NET + Loc, Enterprise Library?

If you have an article comparing AOP Frameworks would help me a lot too.

    Regards,

  • I too started digging the AOP for similar cross cutting concerns. My understanding says that Spring.net and aspect.net are two comparitavly good options. Aspect.net has good MSDN articles to help explore AOP. Spring.net SDK comes with handy examples. Check in following path: C:\Program Files\Spring.NET 1.1.2\examples\Spring\Spring.AopQuickStart, after installing SDK. It also has somewhat similar example for logging.

Hope it helps. Keep you posted about new finidings at my end.
