Problems about provisioning Office365 account with new device id RRS feed

    I found there is some weird behavior that I think could be a server bug on Office 365.

    For a new device ID, (Note that the device id was not sent to server before)if I try to send a FolderSync request for the first time, instead of responding status 142/144, the server respond status 1 and all the folders.

    If I go ahead to send a initial Provision request, the server would respond something like this:


    Note that ProvisionStatus is 2 and missing required <PolicyKey> and required <Data>

    If I try to send another initial provision request now, It will return normally (ProvisionStatus is 1, with <PolicyKey> and <Data> .

    As you can see, the weird thing I encounter is 

    1. FolderSync respond 1 with folders , while we expect it to return 142/144 as it is not provisioned

    2. No required PolicyKey and required Data, and the policystatus value is 2

    3. This only happens for the first time when we provision a new device id. If that id is sent to server once, when we issues FolderSync and Provision again, the server would return expected response.
