How to ensure app upgrade doesn't overwrite users' sqlite files

    Question

  • I just finished an upgrade for my app. I would like to upload it to the Windows Store, but I'm concerned that the upgrade might somehow cause users to no longer be able to access the SQLite files they were using. I don't want customers screaming at me that I deleted their data. The following line of code is how I reference a user's SQLite file:

                DBPath = Path.Combine(
                    Windows.Storage.ApplicationData.Current.LocalFolder.Path, "printenvelope.db");

    I plan to not include a SQLite file in the files I upload to the Windows Store. Is that sufficient to ensure that users will continue to be able to access their data after installing my update?
