  • Hi Wovaki,

When you need to play mpg video in .net application you can embed the Windows Media Player Control in a VB.NET application to implement this functionality. In this scenario you can only play files that contain video encoded in MPEG-1 format. If the file contains video encoded in MPEG-2 format, a separate MPEG-2 video decoder (also known as a DVD decoder) must be installed. You can purchase this separate MPEG-2 video decoder or use some free video decoder. For more information about how to use the Windows Media Player Control in a .NET Framework application, visit: http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb248593.aspx. Hope this helps.

    Best regards,
